Hi. I'm Kimberly.
Thanks for stopping by to read. :)
When I became a mother, my world changed. I realized that the kind of people I wanted my children to grow into was going to depend a great deal on the kind of person I was. And that is where my greatest work began - with myself. You can't teach love, peace, faithfulness, joy, goodness, gentleness, patience, self-control, and kindness without attempting to embody those things yourself.
I grew up in a conservative, Protestant Christian household, but no longer believe that God, the Divine, the Universe, is owned by one particular religion. I studied the religions of the world in college, and fell in love with intellectual and spiritual inquiry. I believe all great religions and religious teachers have something to offer us, and that children should be taught about both the diversity AND interconnectedness of the world. And while I'm comfortable with not knowing all the answers, I want to be able to provide some sort of answers to my children as they grow and begin to figure out their own Truth in the world.
So that is where this blog comes in. No matter what your own religious (or non-religious) background, I hope you'll find information here to help you educate your children about the religions of the world, to help your family navigate the answers to some of life's biggest questions, and to find the spiritual in the everyday. Join me in my on-going journey to cultivate a spirit-filled life for myself, my children, and my community.
